display.ed 2023
Casino Luxembourg is pleased to invite you to the fourth edition of display.ed, a day of meetings and exchanges entirely dedicated to artistic studies and creative professions.
The aim of display.ed is to introduce high-school students to the prospects and diversity of creative and cultural professions, and to give future art students the possibility to meet and exchange directly with representatives from universities, art and design schools, as well as with students, graduates and artists.
From 11:00 to 17:00, at Casino Luxembourg, info points of various academic institutions help students to find out more about the diversity of art studies.
At Casino Display, workshops will be held for secondary school classes, in particular final-year art classes, by young artists from the cultural and creative sectors in Luxembourg (photography, screen printing, video, performance, etc.). These workshops also are a way to get to know the work of these young artists and to learn about their academic and professional careers.
Lycée des Arts et Métiers will also participate in the event and present its BTS programme with workshops and an info point.
An extensive documentation (current editions, brochures, flyers, posters, photos or videos) on the courses on offer in universities and art schools, and in the fields of art, design and architecture, is available for consultation in our library. In addition, students have the possibility to bring along a portfolio of their works and submit it for review and advice.
For each edition of display.ed, a young Luxembourgish artist is asked to create the graphic design of the event. This design is used, among other things, on the tote bags that are distributed for free to the students. For the 2023 edition, the design was realised by Jessica Frascht, a young Luxembourgish graphic designer and student at Hochschule Trier.
