Endless Lust

In her project Endless Lust, Jill Mercedes invites on a journey. The tropical sweatiness of a late afternoon, the bare solitude of a hospital room, the eroticism and sensuality of a bachelor's apartment... This subtle interplay of atmospheres, colours, movements and sounds awakens a faraway remembrance, a particular emotion that is private to every one.Deprived of most accessories, this environment has not been conceived to flatter the eye of the beholder, or to recreate the exact likeness of an authentic interior. Its designation is to gently fan the flames of the visitor's senses, to appeal to his memory, to stir up the hidden emotions buried in his inner self. The viewer is prompted to reconnect with the true emotions stored within himself, but in this case retrieved through literary and cinema experiences rather than real life. Jill Mercedes works here like a director or writer. She sets up the framework of her narrative, and cares to leave it up to the viewer to project his own story.
