Even if it's not true, it's well found

As part of the mobile project Even if it's not true, it's well found, artist David Bernstein is presenting his book with the same title to round off this work of encounter, exchange and collective storytelling. 

The title Even if it's not true, it's well found is inspired by the Italian expression Se non e vero, e ben trovato, which could be translated as: ‘Even if what you say isn't true, it's still a good story’.

David Bernstein's project for the Casino Luxembourg consists of three sculptures, each made of a different material - silver, laminated hardwood, polished epoxy clay - in order to vary the haptic sensations, and designed to be manipulated.

The book complements his sculptural work by collecting 5 stories inspired by exchanges with the public. Each story is based on exchanges and encounters between the artist, the sculptures and different audiences, and offers different interpretations of the three sculptures. And even if they are not true, they are good stories.
