La Fête du court métrage
Short Film Screening Programme
In partnership with the Filmakademie Luxembourg
Making outstanding short films accessible in order to showcase—or rediscover—the full richness of the short format: this is the ambition of La Fête du court métrage.
From March 25 to 31, 2026, more than 18,000 events—screenings, workshops, talks, and activities—will take place in cinemas, media libraries, and cultural venues in Luxembourg, France, and internationally. In Luxembourg, this initiative is part of a partnership with Filmakademie Luxembourg and the Casino Luxembourg – Forum d’art contemporain, which are joining forces to offer young audiences an expanded cinematic and artistic experience.
What is La Fête du court métrage?
An annual event created to raise wider awareness of short films, La Fête du court métrage celebrates for one week the creativity and diversity of this format. Film enthusiasts and newcomers alike—young audiences, families, and passionate viewers—are invited to explore the magic of short films through a major free event open to everyone, in France and around the world.
Each year, an official programme is developed with the support of L’Agence du court métrage and the association Faites des Courts, Fête des Films. Designed to highlight the very best of short films, the programme addresses audiences of all ages while shining a spotlight on the great filmmakers of tomorrow.
