Lucilin in the City #15: Das malerische Luxemburg (FULL)

Artist(s)
United Instruments of Lucilin

Live Music Cinema: A journey through the Luxembourg of yesteryear. Between archival films and pieces by contemporary composers, the contrast is masterful but above all, poetic.

This episode of our Lucilin in the City independent concert series pierces through layers of time. « In the City, » yes… but when? The seven films selected by our guest Paul Lesch, evoke nostalgia for eras that preceded us and depict a Luxembourg of the past. From the depths of slate mines to the delicate bubbles of Mercier champagne, the program of this live cinema tells a Luxembourg as you’ve never seen it, as you will never see it again, yet strangely familiar due to its diversity. Between these period films and the music of contemporary composers, the gap is vast but above all, poetic.
