Plato, Pythagoras, Polyrhythm

Casino Luxembourg – Forum d’art contemporain is pleased to present a unique meeting of musical minds to mark the Luxembourg launch of Plato, Pythagoras, Polyrhythm (2012) by Steve Moore. The musician will be joined by guitarist Dylan Carlson of the band Earth and drummer Benoit Martiny for an evening of drone, improvisation and a brief presentation on the book.

Plato, Pythagoras, Polyrhythm reads like a textbook for a Paleolithic pre-school, making plain the simple congruences of Space and Time within the domain of human perception. Written by hand and with a subtle comedy, it asks the reader to examine pure meaning face to face through mirrors of truth wrapped in clouds of playful mysticism.  Plato, Pythagoras, Polyrhythm draws a line through Sound and Shape to reawaken an understanding of the Self.
