Task Force #3rdLife
VENUE: Casino Luxembourg
For PROLOGUE, Task Force activates a sensitive and fragmented presentation of the city’s former firehall, currently being transformed into hqLX – a new community-driven base for socio-spatial experimentation in Luxembourg City. Framed as an infrastructural body in transition, this presentation reveals latent spatial systems and routines.
The five-day program focuses on the firehall’s primary, yet concealed facilities: the individual spaces dedicated to training, recovery, and communal life. These areas are designed to support operations that ultimately unfold outside the building, defining the fire station as a evolving, interstitial environment that sustains collective coordination.
Through a series of guided visits to the developing hqLX site and informal ‘rescue drills’ at Casino Luxembourg, Task Force constructs a narrative that recalls moments of preparation and conviviality. By shifting these routines of «camaraderie» into a cultural context, the program invites participants to reflect on how socio-spatial infrastructures shape collective capacity within contemporary practice.
Echoing the rhythm of a firefighter’s break patterns, Task Force introduces a hybrid and decentralized counterpoint to the symposium’s academic framework.
