Hermine Bourgadier

Interview with artist, Hermine Bourgadier, on the series of 10 photographs entitled Street Fighters / Les Turfistes that she presented in the framework of the exhibition, Ceci n’est pas un Casino. The young men photographed by Hermine Bourgadier are playing the famous fighting game, “Street Fighters”; with closed faces, their eyes riveted on the screen, the artist’s “Street Fighters” are fixed in a worrying state of concentration, entirely absorbed and detached from their real surroundings.
