Monographic book retracing the artists’ work since the 1990s. Philippe-Alain Michaud reviews the main series that make up the artists’ corpus: his analyses and reflections are as much studies of particular cases as meditations on painting and representation in general. For his part, Jean Louis Schefer takes us to the very heart of light, to the origin of the visible, to contemplate, guided by the historical texts of illustrious scholars – Newton and Buffon – the work of painting: a visual and poetic “event”, a “silent world, yet made of vibrations”.
