Jean-Jacques Lebel – Reliquaire pour un culte de Vénus

An evolving installation, Reliquaire pour un culte de Vénus is composed of more than a thousand images and objects related to Venus, collected by the artist at “fairs for everything” in France and elsewhere. They reflect the different types of worship devoted to Venus, from the most “noble” icon to the most “vulgar” kitsch. This site-specific work changes form and content with each new presentation.
