An Acoustemological Study in Three Thirds – Relationality through Vibration

Artist(s)
Mnemozine

For this second third of this series of three experimental Mnemosonic concerts, a layer will be added to this acoustemological investigation, not only considering sonic relations in terms of mechanic vibrations, but also how electric vibrations intervene and interfere with this first layer, how the tweaking of a knob on one synthesiser leads the behaviour of the other to modulate, and subsequently, how musicians will acknowledge these electric impulses. In this second third, the mesh of vibrational relations gets thicker and murkier, bouncing between patch cables, control voltages, speakers, visitors, musicians, room, and air.

Performance

For its second season which has been dubbed “The Third”, Mnemozine is excited to announce its new sub-project oriented towards sound and music, Mnemosonic. Each third explores one type of vibration, examining how networks of vibrational relations grow and evolve into acoustic structures.
