Acte de présence | finissage in two acts

Sam Krack's residency culminates in a two-part finissage: on Friday 25 July in the exhibition itself at the Casino Display, then the following day, Saturday 26 July, at the foot of the tree, on his family's land in Tadler, in northern Luxembourg.

The first event, at the Casino Display, marks the end of the exhibition phase of the work carried out during the residency.

The second, at the end of the residency, is intended as an opening, extending the artistic gesture outside the exhibition space. At the foot of the dead tree in Tadler, we will find the protagonist of the video produced in close collaboration with Mehdi Zion, and now the bearer of the sculpture entitled Et weisst ee net mam plaakesche Fanger op d'Leit. This tree, which played a central role in Sam Krack's residency, underwent a metamorphosis in the process: from an object of contemplation, it became a metaphor for the absence that runs through the family's history.

Both times will be convivial moments of discussion and exchange.
