Nuit des musées 2021

20 YEARS OF NUIT DES MUSÉES!

Since its first edition in 2001, on the initiative of the "d'stater muséeën" group, the Nuit des Musées in Luxembourg City has become an annual event not to be missed by culture and heritage enthusiasts, allowing them to visit the seven museums of the group by night. The 20th anniversary of the Nuit des Musées awaits you with a special programme of guided tours, music, performances, workshops, culinary surprises and a festive all-nighter at Casino Luxembourg with a DJ set by Lagerkultur.

In order to facilitate the night-time itinerary, a combined ticket for the seven museums has been introduced as well as free shuttles.

Through this installation, visitors are confronted with their own stereotypes and their perception of sexual orientation as a social construct. Visitors will leave with a personal analysis and photo.

In the evening, when the sun sets and night replaces day, diffuse neon lights, fluorescent signs and bright street lamps transform the face of our streets. Coloured lights emerge and become landmarks in the darkness of the night. Equipped with wax crayons and black paint, we will embark on a creative search for the city's night lights.

01:00 – 03:00Keep It Nightcurated by LAGERKULTURAfterparty

DJ set: Bjeor (BE)

After the museums' closure at 01:00, join Casino Luxembourg's afterparty.

Bjeor is a Leuven-born, Brussels-based, house-minded deejay. Steadily paving his way during the past ten years, Bjeor conquered the Belgian electronic music scene inch by inch, setting numerous dj booths and dance floors on fire during so.

Some highlights: various appearances at Horst, his Boiler Room debut in Brussels, an everlasting after-hours trip in Helsinki and peak time slots in Paris and Lille. Juggling with slow gems, forgotten hits and future classics, Bjeor’s got a trick up in every sleeve. He’s also a co-founder of pop-up nightclub ‘nacht‘ in STELPLAATS (Leuven).

Apart from his residency at Kiosk Radio he prefers to steer clear of the camera spotlights, but give him a high-spirited dance floor and he will be thriving.
