Raconte-moi / Tell Me
The catalogue, which accompanies the exhibition of the same title, offers an exploration of narrative in contemporary art. Questioned and reshaped by several artists who are currently seeking to renew its boundaries, the narrative is presented as a space in transformation, where the limits of fiction and reality are constantly replayed, where we are witnessing the emergence, in the field of art, of narrative processes that belong to cinema, sound and music. If narratives are nowadays given so much to see and hear, it is because the gesture of recounting comes to account for the urgency of rethinking and remaking history, of dislocating narratives so that they open up and reinscribe themselves in the world.
