Opening: Echoes and Resonances in Collective Artistic Research
VENUE : Casino Display, 1, rue de la Loge, Luxembourg
Since September 2024, the group of artist-researchers — including Iulia Aionesi, Adele Dipasquale, Akina Yoshitake Lopez, and Jules Maillot — has been exploring the echoes and resonances emerging from collective artistic research. The aim has been to transcend disciplinary boundaries by exploring the abstract network of relationships that allows diverse artistic and research practices to resonate, despite differing methodologies and areas of interest, and to reflect on a form of immaterial unity through collective thinking.
Guided by guest professor Alice Twemlow, supported by the Casino Display team, and through encounters in Luxembourg and Strasbourg, the group has worked collectively on this research project, which will be presented in three formats: an exhibition at Casino Display, a publication, and an audio cassette.

preludes of the tongue
Before words find their shape, before the voice takes its full breath — there’s a prelude. preludes of the tongue is a sonic experiment that lingers in that an in-between space . Part soundscape, part spoken-word piece, part eavesdropped daydream — each iteration utters half-formed sentences, hesitations and slips, hums and whispers, that hide in the back of the throat.
19:45 - 20:45 Performance by Akina Yoshitake Lopez
otoliths, aqueous notes (Representations of 2 min. each)
This brief short theatre-for-one (lambe-lambe theatre) explores imagined sonorous oscillations between the acoustic atmosphere and spatial proximities through gathered stories on fish otoliths (ear stones). These stories focus on how the delayed movements of the otoliths and the transits of matter within their aqueous chambers could constitute temporary sonic envelopments, outside the scope of human hearing, as a form of sonic storytelling.
