Jours de lenteur – Special guided tour

Artist(s)
Adrien Vescovi

In the company of the curator Stilbé Schroeder

Greatness and vulnerability come together in Adrien Vescovi's work like two tensions brought into harmony in a space that is deliberately cottony, safe and desaturated. The excessiveness with which he conceives his paintings - assemblies of salvaged and hand-dyed fabrics - can never be too much. The artist not only takes into account the ephemeral, the random and the primitive: he invokes them. Rust, ochre, mint green, faded lemon: these "jus de paysage" (landscape juices), as he calls them, draw the Mediterranean relief in all its earthiness.

Exhibition until 29.01.2023

After living, studying and working in Brussels and Strasbourg, Stilbé Schroeder returns to Luxembourg in 2015 and joins Casino Luxembourg – Forum d'art contemporain as exhibition coordinator. In 2017 and 2019, she serves as assistant curator of the Luxembourg pavilion at the Venice Biennale. Since 2021 she serves as a curator participating in the reflections and construction of the institution's exhibition program.
