Traces N°4 (Out of stock)
The fourth edition of Traces presents, in images and words, the year 2013 at Casino Luxembourg. The magazine retraces – in the primary sense of the word – the entire artistic programme, including events that are little known or unknown to the public. With the emphasis on the name “forum” for contemporary art, it becomes clear throughout the pages that the Casino is not only a space dedicated to exhibitions. Encounters of all kinds are at the heart of its activity, whether provoked or unexpected. The magazine opens with a retrospective look at the exhibitions and artists’ residencies of 2013, through presentations by contemporary art specialists. A second section is devoted to educational projects and exhibitions by Luxembourg artists at LABO, the meeting place dedicated to young audiences. To these texts are added more personal views by Eric Chenal and Andrès Lejona, photographers who regularly document the exhibitions at the Casino, and who have been inspired by the place for their artistic work. Another chapter is dedicated to the permanent project for the north façade of the Casino, rue Notre-Dame. Finally, the important publishing activity of the Casino Luxembourg is listed at the end of the tour.
